Riverland Community Justice Centre

Riverland Community Justice Centre is a not-for-profit free legal service based in Berri. The Centre provides free advice appointments with a solicitor to most members of the community, regardless of their level of income and assets.  Ongoing assistance and court representation where relevant are provided for free to eligible clients.  The Centre offers appointments in Berri, Renmark, Loxton, Waikerie, Morgan and Cadell.

What does the Centre do?

The service provides:

• Information and referrals

• Free legal advice

• Free ongoing assistance and court representation to eligible clients

What Riverland Community Justice Centre can give advice on:

• Family Law

• Criminal Law

• Civil Law (e.g., contracts, neighbourhood disputes etc)

Phone and video appointments are available for people who are unable to attend our office in person. We use interpreters if required and bookings are essential.

Free Legal Help for people affected by the 2022/2023 River Murray floods.

Free legal appointments are available in the Riverland and Murraylands by contacting our office on 1300 850 350. Our solicitors can assist with a range of legal issues including insurance, tenancies, employment, civil disputes, debt and hardship, family law, Centrelink disputes and criminal matters.

Free Legal Information Sessions and Resources

The Community Justice Centre also runs free community legal education sessions on request. If you or your community group is interested in a solicitor running a free presentation, please contact the Centre.
